4/19: Guitarist Larry Pattis at Hillsboro Main

photo, Larry PattisHillsboro Main Library is pleased to present Larry Pattis in concert, Sunday, April 19, at 2pm.

Pattis is a well-regarded acoustic fingerstyle guitarist and composer. With exposure to classical guitar as well as folk, celtic, pop and R&B, Pattis came into his own after extended study with France's innovative guitar virtuoso, Pierre Bensusan.

His music appears on NPR's Morning Edition, as well as on three albums. He has toured extensively over the last ten years including an appearance at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2008.

According to the Montreal International Jazz Festival, "Larry Pattis blends the emotional commitment of folk and the prowess of classical, a harmonious union of beauty, melody, nuance and technique that demand — and reward — serious listening."
