Cedar Mill Bethany is now moved... across the street

photo, moving books across the streetAfter an amazing day of moving and final network installation and tweaking, the expanded Cedar Mill Community Library at Bethany opened to the public at 10 am Friday, June 12. Kudos to Roxanne Wilcox and the Bethany crew of staff and volunteers who moved the entire library of 30,000 items, shelves, computers, and furniture in about 4 hours.

The new library, 15325 NW Central Drive Suite J-8, is directly across the street from the old library. At 4,600 square feet, the new location is 2 and one-half times larger than the old space which opened July 2007.

Check out the photos from the buildout in CMCL's Flickr site.

They'll be having a 2nd birthday celebration next month on July 18th after the dust settles.
