3/29 A Will is Not Enough - Estate Planning workshop at Cedar Mill Community Library

Join attorney Richard Schneider, on Tuesday, March 29, 6:30 pm, at Cedar Mill Library, for this free estate planning workshop.

Everyone has an “estate,” no matter what you’ve acquired in life. Yet 75% of the public is caught unprepared, unaware that they even have an estate. Richard Schneider is the co-author of A Will is Not Enough in Oregon.

Learn about the legal documents that everyone needs. Get an overview of vocabulary pertinent to determining assets and will preparation. Discover the differences between wills and living trusts and ascertain which one is right for you and your family. Learn about necessary health care documents, powers of attorney, guardianship and retirement issues. You will also have the opportunity to have your questions answered.

Richard Schneider has been an attorney for over 25 years specializing in estate planning law. He is a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, a national organization endorsed by Consumer Reports, Money Magazine, and Suze Orman for its commitment to provide the public with unbiased information. Mr. Schneider is also a member of multiple State and County Bar Associations, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Oregon Gerontological Association. In addition, he is affiliated with Elders in Action and has served on the Advisory Council of OASIS, a national organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults age 50 and older through life-long learning.

Spring Break Hours at Oregon College of Art & Craft Library

The OCAC library will be reducing its open hours temporarily for Spring Break, starting Sunday March 20th through Sunday, March 27th. The library will be open Tues - Thurs 12-3pm, beginning Tuesday, March 22nd.

The OCAC library will return to its regularly scheduled hours when classes begin again the following Monday, March 28th.

Due to the shortened hours, any requests for OCAC materials over this period may be significantly delayed.
