Are you looking for a one-stop place to find out about family-friendly, low-cost/no-cost programs for your children? Then mark your calendar for Beaverton City Library’s Family Resource Fair on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Beaverton City Library (map).

Coordinated by Beaverton City Library’s Children’s Services Division, the Family Resource Fair is a free, community event, where families can learn about local programs and services for children, infants through upper elementary grades. Exhibits from more than 30 local organizations will be available that highlight children’s dental and vision care, educational support for kids of all abilities, mom’s groups, fine arts, mentoring, and more. See a list of organizations at the fair here.

Children will also have a chance to participate in fun activities and games. In addition, children ages 3-5 years old, not already tested in other programs, can receive free vision screening. Families visiting at least 15 tables will be entered into a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.

Please note the Beaverton Farmer’s Market runs from from 8:00 am – 1:30 pm. You may need to arrive earlier than usual to find parking.
