Do you use OverDrive Media Console on your iPhone or iPad? Read this before updating to iOS 7

If you use OverDrive Media Console on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch to download ebooks and audiobooks from Library2Go, you may find that the OverDrive app crashes after you update to iOS 7. (If you are new to Library2Go and download the OverDrive app after you update your device to iOS 7, you will not run into this issue.)

If your OverDrive app is crashing after you download iOS 7, you will need to uninstall and then reinstall the OverDrive app on your iOS device. (Find directions on this page.) You will need to then re-authorize the app with the same Adobe ID you originally used, if you would like to re-download the books you already checked out and downloaded. If you authorize the app with a new Adobe ID, you will not be able to re-download the books you have checked out, if you downloaded them before you updated to iOS 7.

To re-download titles to your app once you have re-installed and re-authorized it, log in to your Library2Go account and click on the Download button next to the books you currently have checked out.

We apologize for the inconvenience! OverDrive is the software company that powers the Library2Go service and the company that developed and maintain the OverDrive app. They are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it. If there are more developments related to iOS 7 and the OverDrive app, we will keep you posted.

We know this can be a little confusing, so if you have questions, please contact your local library for assistance, or ask us online. We'll be happy to help.
