Most popular books & items at WCCLS

With all the 'best of' lists coming out this time of year, we like to peek at our own numbers to see what's popular with readers right here in Washington County.

Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid series continues to be totally popular with young readers and families, with Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel claiming 1,971 checkouts last fiscal year (2013-2014) and over 1,000 more since July 1, 2014.

Children's author Mo Willems appears to be our top circulating author these days, with literally dozens of his titles taking up space within our top 100.
Lena Dunham's Not That Kind of Girl topped our list for 3M Cloud Library's Adult Nonfiction category. you believe Robert Galbraith and J.K. Rowling are, in fact, one in the same, that author claimed 3 titles in our top 10 for 3M Cloud's Adult Fiction. Congrats to Gillian Flynn (and the four three other authors whose works beat out Fifty Shades of Grey on this list!). Flynn's Gone Girl: A Novel also ranked #6 in our physical book checkouts last fiscal year:

3M Cloud Adult Fiction:
1. Switchblade, by Michael Connelly
2. Silkworm, by Robert Galbraith
3. Personal, by Lee Child
4. The Casual Vacancy, by J.K. Rowling
5. Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn

7. The Cuckoo's Calling, by Robert Galbraith
8. Top Secret Twenty-One, by Janet Evanovich
9. High Heat: A Jack Reacher Novella, by Lee Child
