Washington County's Community Involvement Transition Planning Team is seeking your input about enhancements to Washington County's community involvement program. You can help expand and improve the ways that our community contributes to decision-making that shapes our livability in Washington County. Here are three direct ways to help:
- Take an on-line survey – Provide feedback about enhancements to the county's public involvement program by completing a brief web-based survey from November 16 until November 30. Your input will help the Transition Planning Team refine their recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners.
- Community event December 1 – Come and learn more about the work of the Transition Planning Team, the options under consideration and provide input about recommendations for re-shaping Washington County's community engagement program. This event is planned for Tuesday, December 1, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Willow Creek campus of Portland Community College.
- Sign up for on-going notices – Stay current with this important effort by receiving updates about the county's community involvement program. Add your email address to the eSubscription service under the "County Administrative Office" category listed at this website: http://washtech.co.washington.or.us/subscriptions/
The 13-member Community Involvement Transition Planning Team was appointed by the Washington County Board of Commissioners earlier this year to explore a broad range of public participation models and strategies. Oregon State University's Extension Service staff support for the county's Citizen Participation Organizations (CPOs) ends in early 2016. OSU Extension announced in 2014 that it had re-evaluated its institutional strengths and role in this county program and would not continue to administer the program on the county's behalf in the future.
