Help us organize the new WCCLS homepage!

Many thanks to everyone who has participated in usability testing for our new website so far.  Here's another opportunity to make your voice heard!

In this exercise, we are asking you to imagine that you want to complete certain tasks on our website.  For example, "you want to know if your library is currently open."  Then you simply click on the page where you would look first.  There are no right or wrong answers.  We have selected 15 scenarios for testing, but you can complete as many as you have time to do.  You'll also get a sneak peek at the current draft of our new home page!  Thank you for your time and assistance.

Update about WMA format audiobooks from Library2Go

OverDrive, the company that powers the Library2Go service, has announced that any remaining audiobooks in the WMA format will be pulled from Library2Go. Those of you who download your audiobooks using OverDrive app on your phone or tablet are not affected by this issue.

For the past few years, OverDrive has been working with publishers to get WMA audiobook titles converted to MP3 format. MP3 format is available for use on more devices than WMA audiobooks. Some publishers are unwilling to convert some of their audiobook titles from WMA to MP3.

On May 19th, all WMA audiobooks that are left will be removed from Library2Go. If you have a WMA audiobook checked out during this time, you will have the audiobook for the full checkout time. However, all holds on WMA audiobooks will be cancelled on May 19th.

Cedar Mill Library Open House Celebration

You are invited to the Cedar Mill Library open house celebrating the library’s recent remodeling:

Saturday, May 16, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Now that the walls and ceiling are painted, the flooring is replaced, and some new furniture has been installed, the Cedar Mill Library is ready to throw a party! There will be a brief recognition event at 11:30 a.m., guided tours of the library, and the ongoing fundraiser, Second Edition Resale Shop (also newly remodeled). Enjoy refreshments, an activity for kids, a book and media sale, and a special sale at Second Edition. Stop by and see the improvements - all funded by generous library donors and Second Edition Resale shop sales.

"Freshen Up for Spring" Raffle
In conjunction with the open house celebration, the library is having a raffle for several "Freshen Up for Spring" baskets. They contain items from local businesses to help you clean up, remodel, and decorate your home and garden. Ticket sales start Friday, May 1, at Cedar Mill Main. Tickets are 3 for $5 or $2 each. Drawing will be on May 16. Proceeds benefit the library.
